What’s new in AutoCAD 2017

This year, I’m going to do something a little simpler–show you Autodesk’s video on 2017 new features and then list them.

Smart centerlines and center marks

They’re easier to create and edit.

AutoCAD 360 Pro mobile app

You can draft, edit, and view 2D CAD drawings on your mobile device. Has anyone tried this?

Share design views

You can publish your 2D and 3D CAD drawings to the cloud and others can view them without having AutoCAD.

Import PDFs

You can import PDFs and convert them to AutoCAD objects.

3D printing

You can  send 3D models to a 3D print service or use Print Studio, which makes setting them up for 3D printing easier.

Migration tools

The migration tools give you more information about your current personalized settings, so you can make better choices about what custom settings and files to migrate.

Autodesk desktop app

This new app lets you manage all your updates in one place.

What do you think? Are the new features worth upgrading for? Or are you on subscription and don’t care? Leave a comment and please use the Share buttons below to share with your colleagues.
